Every inch of an image needn’t be finely rendered for it to feel complete.
I love playing around with varying regions of detail to direct the viewer eye to specific areas of the image using lost edges and textured brushwork. This is something I am definitely working on developing throughout this series of quick gouache value studies and I am finding the processes quite liberating.
