Hestia – An Elemental Perspective of Fire
In Ancient Greece, Hestia was the virgin goddess of the hearth, the family, the home, and the state. She received the first offering at every sacrifice in the household and with the establishment of a new colony, flame from Hestia’s hearth would be carried to the new settlement.
