2018 SALA Festival 1

The South Australian Living Artists (SALA) festival is a state wide festival established in 1998 that runs throughout August each year.

The festival aims to promote and celebrate the many talented visual artists in South Australia. While it had long been on my list of things to do one year, I hadn’t initially planned on year’s event at all until the planets aligned and I became enthused enough prior to the registration cutoff to get things happening.

Doc Adams Winery have been very supportive in exhibiting my work at their cellar door from throughout August, September and October this year and can’t thank them enough for the opportunity.

It’s been a pretty big learning curve but with each of these steps along the journey you discover a little bit more about yourself and why you do what you do.

So if you are in the South Australian region during August, don’t forget to get out to see and celebrate as many of the wonderful talented artist we have here living amongst us.

And be sure to add Doc Adams Winery to the list for a sneaky look while enjoying the wonderful wines they have on offer.
