Gallery One held another Life Drawing Marathon this month and for this we had 3 models (Angela, David & Fay) sit over the course of about 7 hours (with morning tea and lunch breaks between models).
This was the first life drawing session I had managed to attend since around January so I was interested to see how I would go.
I swapped out my willow charcoal sticks that I had been using exclusively up until now and tried out some charcoal pencils of a couple of different softnesses.
I was really happy with the additional tonal control I was able to achieve with by using these pencils and felt less rushed than usual trying to complete the pose in the time available.
