We had a husband and wife combination sit for us at Portrait Drawing recently which gave us some good variation in features to attempt to reproduce in our illustrations.
Warren’s full face beard in particular was something new for me to draw – especially since it was silver – and I was conscious not to try and draw every individual hair, but attempt instead to give the sense of a mass composed of hair.
