Distant 1
Tim Eden. Distant, 2017. Gouache on paper, 8″ x 8″

If we only focus on what is over there – just over the horizon where we want to be – then we are going to miss the wonders of what is happening in the here and now.

Rather than focussing on that all important goal, decide on a general direction. Once you’re moving in that direction, bring your attention back to the now and breathe in the wonders that you are living this very moment.

When you next look up, you’ll be surprised how much closer you’ve become, all without missing out on living the life and appreciating those things which ultimately define who you are – your family, your friends, your interests, your passions.

Be wholeheartedly present in everything you do – don’t be distant.
