I made it… finally.

As expected the 30 pieces in 30 days challenge was indeed that, a challenge, but one I am glad to have completed.

There were pieces I really enjoyed working on – others not so much – and one in particular I was so unimpressed with I abandoned it all together and resorted to scraping the paint off the panel.

I worked from life, from photos, at the kitchen table, plein air, at a friends house, some times spending a couple of hours, sometimes I was lucky to find 30 minutes in the day, but all in all I made sure that every day for 30 days I followed through with my commitment to work on my art.

It is something I would definitely would do again and was by no means as hard or as onerous as I thought it perhaps might be.

For now though, I think I will take a bit of time to reflect on what I had achieved, what I learned and where to go to from here.
